La gastronomía de la Riviera Maya es muy variada. Principalmente se encuentra basada en pescados y mariscos. Pero también en el maíz, ya que esta cocina es parte de la cultura heredada por los mayas.
Y además la gastronomía de la Riviera Maya esta muy influenciada por parte de la cocina de Italia y China. Por este motivo en que en la zona puedes encontrar locales de comida donde solo ofrezcan estos tipos de platos.

Unas de las especialidades de la zona son los platos elaborado a base de pulpo y calamar, preparados con muchas recetas distintas. Además de las tan exquisitas langostas.

Los cereales, el maíz, los frijoles, la cebolla, el achicote y el cilantro son algunos de los productos de la tierra que mas se consumen. El terreno y el clima de la zona son ideales para la producción de vegetales y frutas.
